How to install WordPress to your server

Starting your own website using WordPress involves 8 steps.

Steps to install WordPress (if using Hostgator)

1. Login, browse to Fantastico
2. Click WordPress
3. New Installation
4. Browse to domain (usually keep the directory blank), use a different name than “admin”
5. Finish installation
6. Open dashboard
7. Login
8. View finished site
